BOMB THREAT PROCEDURES

Basic Tenant Responsibilities

A. Each tenant should brief his or her telephone receptionist on bomb threat procedures.

B. Each tenant should have a copy of the bomb threat checklist near the receptionist's telephone and all employees' phones.

Bomb Threat Emergency Procedures

A. Receiving Telephone Threats

1. When a bomb threat is received by telephone, immediately ask the caller the questions listed on the bomb threat checklist. This information will be extremely helpful to the Police.

2. Fill out the remaining portion of the bomb threat checklist (attached). This information will be extremely helpful to the Police.

3. Keep the person on line as long as possible. Have someone else notify police at this same time. Immediately call Police/Fire at 911.

4. Notify the Building Management at 303-696-0706 that you have received a bomb threat.

5. Do not make statements to newspapers, radio or television news.

6. The Tamarac Plaza Management Office will furnish the news media with accurate information concerning the incident, if necessary.

B. Receiving Written Threats

1. Written threats are less frequent than telephone threats, but must be considered just as seriously.

2. Avoid physical handling of the written threat. This evidence will be analyzed by the Police Department for fingerprints, postmarks, handwriting and typewriting.

BOMB LOCATION

1. If a suspected device is found, immediately contact Denver Police at 911.
2. DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE THE SUSPECTED OBJECT.
3. Advise the Tamarac Plaza Management Office (303-696-0706) of the situation.
4. Escort authorities to the area upon their arrival.
EVACUATION

1. In the event of a bomb threat, the decision to evacuate the building is made by the Fire or Police Departments or individual Tenants. Tamarac Plaza Management Office will not make this decision. Management encourages Tenants to establish their own evacuation criteria upon receipt of a bomb threat.

2. When evacuating we advise you to follow the Fire Evacuation Procedures.
